‘Discovery and Learning Journey in the Mathematics Laboratory’ Event Organized

The event titled ‘Discovery and Learning Journey in the Mathematics Laboratory’, organized within the scope of Teachers' Day Activities in our faculty, was held with the participation of our students. The event was organized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Makbule Gözde Didiş Kabar, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mukaddes İnan Tutkun and Research Assistant Gizem Ünsal. In the program, materials for the use of mathematics in daily life and activities to support meaningful learning were used. Concrete materials such as the concept of balance with scales in teaching algebraic processes, introducing geometric shapes with Tangram, number stamps in operations with integers, and symmetry mirror in learning the concept of symmetry were included in the activities.

The event continued with a question and answer session with the participation of the students and ended with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to the participating academicians by the head of the department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Betül Ekiz Kıran. The program was highly appreciated for providing a creative learning environment that allows students to learn mathematical concepts by exploring them.
