‘Early Childhood Science Festival’ was organized on the ground floor of our faculty. Science festivals are activities that enable children to discover scientific concepts and step into the world of science by combining learning with entertainment, offering them an interactive environment. Science festivals, especially in early childhood, aim to increase children's awareness of science and nature by stimulating their sense of curiosity while providing unique opportunities to capture the first sparks of future scientists.
Under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. C. Burcu DURMUŞ, the 2nd-year students of the Division of Preschool Education, brought together the educational materials and various experiments they prepared in different themes using the methods and techniques they learned within the scope of the ‘Science Education in Early Childhood’ course with children from kindergartens. In addition, the festival included space-themed activities and telescope observations prepared by TOGU Astronomy Club students. During the two-day festival, children visited all the stands, participated in skill-based activities in the areas they were interested in, and enjoyed a fun learning process while enjoying learning by doing and experiencing.
