Preparations for the 2026-2027 Academic Year Were Discussed

At Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Education, a meeting was held with the participation of the heads of departments and departments of the main science branches to evaluate the preparations for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.

The meeting, held on August 20, 2026, under the chairmanship of the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Uğur Akın, comprehensively addressed the academic and administrative preparations for the new academic term.

During the meeting, the processes related to the studies on the micro-competency programs to be prepared by the programs, the updating of course information packages, the preparation of digital program guides, and keeping the department web pages up to date were evaluated. In addition, the studies to be carried out regarding the checking of course definitions in the Student Information System (OBS) and the completion of necessary updates were discussed.

Within the scope of the program, the heads of departments and departments of the main science branches were informed about the updated Academic Advising Directive, and evaluations were made regarding the academic advising processes to be carried out in the new term.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination among academic units, carrying out education and training processes in a planned and effective manner, and completing the necessary preparations on time before the new academic year.

As the Faculty of Education, we will continue our preparations for the 2026-2027 Academic Year to be carried out in a qualified, planned, and coordinated manner.
