Purpose

The purpose of the Faculty of Education Teaching Practicum Coordination Unit is to regulate the procedures and principles concerning the practicum activities that will enable student teachers to better prepare for the teaching profession and to acquire the competence to use the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors related to general culture, subject-area education, and the teaching profession that they have acquired throughout their education in a real educational setting, in accordance with the “Directive on Teaching Practicum to Be Undertaken by Student Teachers in Educational Institutions Affiliated with the Ministry of National Education,” and to ensure that the Teaching Practicum course is carried out in a planned manner.

Scope

The Teaching Practicum Coordination Unit ensures that the practicum activities to be carried out by student teachers in schools are conducted in accordance with the planned and established principles, together with the Faculty Member, the Ministry of National Education Directorate Coordinator, and the Practicum School Coordinator.
